Executive Summary

Introduction

The Buddhism Discussion Program aims to create a space for open dialogue and exploration of Buddhist principles, philosophy, and practical applications in daily life. This program seeks to foster a sense of community, deepen participants’ understanding of Buddhism, and provide a platform for meaningful discussions.

Background

The deep meaning of Buddhism revolves around understanding the nature of suffering, the causes of suffering, the possibility of liberation, and the ethical and mental practices that lead to enlightenment. It provides a comprehensive guide for living a life of wisdom, ethical conduct, and compassion, ultimately leading to the end of suffering and the realization of one’s true nature.

Objectives

  1. Facilitate Open Dialogue:
    • Encourage participants to share their thoughts, questions, and experiences related to Buddhism. Also teaching to participants about Buddha teaching and about Suttra deshana from Thripitaka books.
  2. Extend Understanding:
    • Provide opportunities for participants to extend their understanding of Buddhist teachings through group discussions and shared insights.
  3. Build Community:
    • Foster a sense of community among participants, creating connections and a supportive network for spiritual growth.

 

Frequency

Buddhism discussion, pali language and meditation sessions will be on each weekend.

 

Schedule

The program will consist of bi-weekly discussion sessions held on [specify days and times]. Each session will focus on a specific topic with ample time for open conversation and questions.

Refreshment and transport- arrange by the community

Sounds and communication equipment’s- Provide by the ICTB

Other expenses- provide by the community

Utilize social media platforms, local community bulletin boards, and word-of-mouth to promote the program. Create visually appealing promotional materials highlighting key discussion topics.
